Literacy Volunteers of Washington County assists adults interested in improving their literacy skills through free programs based on a participant's individual goals. Our services include adult basic literacy (reading, writing and conversational English), English for speakers of other languages, citizenship preparation, financial literacy, career advancement, help with college prep, and GED support.

Literacy Volunteers provides one-on-one tutoring, conversation classes, and individual study plans for adult English language learners via both online media and in-person tutoring. Many of our students are young parents who, at the same time, are schooling their own children. Our students are grateful for the opportunity to continue learning in a welcoming and supportive environment.
